James 1:27 AMP

Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.

  “Acting out”

Q: How do you shine?

A: We are running on the theme of how people in and around your sphere of influence, will know you serve Christ and God. How will the world know of God’s redemption story if we do not tell them? Maybe some of us must hear this more than once.

The crux of our faith and beliefs is solely based on faith, and because we serve a God whom we can’t see, our inward beliefs and thinking are made real by “acting out” what we believe. You can’t serve God if you are not willing to live in the unseen—in faith, projecting our hopes outwardly. We‘re required to believe in a lot of “sketchy fairy tale stories” that “may or may not have happened” long ago. Obviously, I don’t think that God’s word is “sketchy” or that it “may or may not” be real, but this is the world’s view of us. Basically, the sceptics are not seeing Christianity as a faith but more like a cult—something bad.

Our faith in the Most High GOD is seen by the world as bad and goes against why Christ gave His life for all. It is sad that most people will never experience the love of God in their lives because they are too blind to see. They are not able to release their hearts of stones for a real one.

We have a bit of groundwork to do as we, followers of Christ, got a bit complacent; we stopped doing the outward things so that the world can see the greatness of God. We failed, as there is a generation that knows nothing of Christ as King. Shame on us!

Ask yourself this today:

What can I do for someone today?

Let’s Pray:

Father, my focus was more on money and career, and I am sorry for that.

Help me see the world through your eyes. Teach me to touch not just with words but back them up with power-filled actions. Move and shake me. Touch the world through me. I surrender!

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
