Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP
By KOA SINAG
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
Leap out of “your own skin.”.
Even as we are entering into exciting times and awaiting the coming of our King, we are still “bound” to earthly responsibilities and worries. Yes, we should not worry, but we do. Yes, we should follow God blindly, but we don’t. Yes, we should leap into our “new” life without thinking, but in most cases, we won’t because we do not trust.
Trust me, God called me to pack up my family, close a business, and relocate in 2019 just before COVID hit the world, and trust me, it is sometimes not real easy as my “own self” gets in the way of God smoothing my paths. By not trusting and submitting my understanding, I unknowingly block God from working wonders in my life. Each and every time I truly surrendered and let God work, things fell into place.
It’s really not easy to follow when we are all used to leading and asked to set commonsense to one side. It is not wise but sometimes God will ask you to leap out of “your own skin” so that He can show you more… “We have become bound by too much “world” and not enough WORD.”
Father, I surrender to your ways and your will. Forgive me for all the times that I purposely or unknowingly miss trusted you. I need to believe that you only have the BEST in mind for me, even if it might not be in my plans and how I imagined it to fall in place.
Create in me a heart which leaps when you ask to trust. When I do not have enough faith, pour an extra portion of faith over me. Take my hand and lead me where you need me and want me to be. I surrender!
In Jesus’ name. Amen!
