Cróga (pronounced “CROH-guh”) is an Irish word meaning “brave,” “courageous,” or “fierce,”
derived from the word for “blood” (cró).

The name Cróga is steeped in history. In Old Irish, cróga (earlier cródae) was derived from cró, meaning “blood” or “gore.” Over time, its meaning transformed from “bloody” to “brave, valiant, spirited”.
