Live in sin-perpetually
Hebrews 9:28 AMP
“so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.”
“What if there is SIN?”
Q: Are you eagerly and confidently waiting for Him?
This verse encompasses why we started this newsletter “Oil for your lamp”, which is based on the parable of the 10 virgins awaiting the groom’s return. All of the 10 virgins were ready to meet the groom, but 5 did not think it was important to keep extra oil, keeping the flame burning was not imperative, and they missed their salvation.
We are getting closer and closer to Christ’s return. Although those who are left behind will see this as judgement, those who are reaped up to meet our Savior in the sky will see this as a reward.
I get excited and can’t wait for that moment when I meet my Lord, where I can behold His glory and righteousness. But my heart also gets fearful that I might miss my salvation and get left behind. What if there is SIN and transgressions in me that will jeopardize my eternal destination?
Yes, you can lose your heavenly status if you live in sin–perpetually. If you abuse your salvation but keep on living like the world—keep on sinning—you are disgracing the sacrifice made on the cross, but you are also making a mockery of God’s grace and precepts. God’s grace is sufficient and covers a lot of transgressions, but God also says that he will throw the lukewarm and dead wood in the fire. [Revelation 3:16 (AMP)& Matthew 7:19 (AMP)]
Ask yourself this today:
Am I living a life which is deemed fit to get salvation and meet Christ in the clouds?
Our redemptions and forgiveness of our sins are not based on anything we can do or say—it’s a free gift to all. Our redemption and salvation come FULLY from Jesus Christ! But let us not lose hope or focus; we are running the race for eternity, and I hope you are doing the same. Keep clean and hope to meet you on “SKY DAY.”
Let’s Pray:
Father, you are my hope and salvation. You brought your Son as a living sacrifice to bear all sin, all my sins. I am so thankful and bless you for your greatness!
Father, cleanse me and wash me daily. Keep me clean from sin and transgressions. Teach me your ways and will, so that I can glorify your name with each step I take.
In Jesus’ name. Amen!
