How wild and reckless I became!

This entry is part 7 of 10 in the series What is Sin?

Isaiah 53:5

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];

The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,

And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.”

“Humbled Heart”

Looking back on my life, I can only truly say that regardless of how wild and reckless I became, God always kept his side of the bargain. Yes, it is a great bargain! Your debt, be it in the past, present, or future, gets wiped clean as if you never wronged, and then you get seen as righteous. That is a really amazing deal! I serve an amazing God!

Today, I just feel humbled for all the blessings and forgiveness of all my sins and transgressions.

I don’t know about you, but I love to make things difficult. I know that is stupid, but I do fall short of God’s grace. So, how do I fix this? I don’t, because if I do, I will only mess things up. What needs to be done is this: each day, just surrender myself into the hands of God and then just walk away. The healing in verse 5 is not just physical healing but also mental healing, and because everything I do starts in my mind, my mind needs to be rewired and renewed so every day I CAN BECOME MORE LIKE Christ! [Romans 12:2 (AMP)]

Let’s Pray:

Father, I fall short of your grace, but you still give it plentifully and abundantly! You give as if I’m perfect and do not blunder things up. You have given me the greatest gift—your Son—and the ransom is paid in full. Thank you for your sacrifice, clearing my record and just loving me for me! I praise you and think you are just the best. Thank you!

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
