“Living out of bounds”

This is a hard pill to swallow. How do you not stress and panic? How can you stay calm when things are falling apart around you and inside you? Kids, work, bills, mental health, and family issues are pressing hard on your tolerances, and you are just trying to keep it all together before you lose it. It is really not easy to be human, and adding a servant of Christ Jesus to your human condition can be a daunting task if you try to tackle daily life all by yourself.

When you try life on your own, you do it alone—that simple! Having God in your life and by your side is not going to magically make all your problems disappear, but it will make things easier in how you approach and handle difficulties. The world is watching us, and if we act the same as they do, we are no different and doomed. If you think like the world, you are part of the world.

If you’re only reading verse 27 from John 14, it seems like an impossible task. So, let’s add verse 26 to John 14, and suddenly the solutions to staying calm and under control under all circumstances are possible.

What makes our beliefs/religion/faith any different from any other religion or sect? It is God’s Spirit living and manifesting in and through us.  Living in the spirit and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you will set you apart from the world, and I promise you they will notice it not by your words but by your actions.

Prayer:

Father, in my disbelief, I have saddened your spirit by “living out of bounds—in sin.” You never intended for me to live this life alone without you; I’m sorry!

Father, help me understand that you only want the best for me and that you want me to live a life with no bounds, doing it in your spirit and with the mindset of Christ—walking deeply in the spirit, holding your hand.

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
