“Rejoice always.”
The world will know you by the way you walk.
These two simple words are not always easy to apply in daily life. Most of the bible translations use these two words or a variant but I love the way the message bible puts it >
“16-18 Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.”
Actually, you should go read the whole chapter 5, which will give these two words so much meaning and context for what your Christian walk in these expecting days should be like.
Let us walk and talk like Christ in this world, because it matters!
Father, you give so much without expecting anything back! Your mercy and love rain on me each day without stopping. You are all I have and need!
It is not always easy to laugh or put a smile on my face, but I pray for extra grace and favour to rain on me today. Lift this veil of sadness over my life and give me a heart for your kingdom. Help me to walk and talk like Jesus. Renew me from the inside out.
