Feeding Scheme @ Mbazwana
Who will be my hands and feet?
Hey Guys,
We greet you with hope and gratitude, and extend our heartfelt thanks for the vital role you play in uplifting communities. We are a non-profit (FBO) initiative committed to restoring dignity, nourishment, and encouragement through our feeding scheme—but the journey isn’t one we can walk alone.
We rely on the kindness of partners and donors who believe in a shared vision: that no person should go to bed hungry, and every person deserves to be seen and cared for. We humbly request your support through the donation of any of the goods listed below, which are commonly used and deeply valued in our daily operations.
Our aim is to assemble nourishing food parcels using the donations we receive, which can either be collected by community members or—once our operations expand—delivered to homes in and around our region.
Standing in the Gap: A Call to Compassion in a Community without Opportunity
We live in a rural region where daily life is shaped by both beauty and burden. Here, many of our neighbors rely solely on government grants to survive. These small stipends are stretched to cover essentials—food, school fees, rent—but they rarely stretch far enough. The harsh reality is this: we are surrounded by individuals, families, and elders facing severe poverty not out of choice, but out of circumstance.
It is easy for outsiders to say, “But they can find work.” In theory, yes. But in practice, employment opportunities in our town—and across much of our country—are painfully scarce. Businesses are few, transport is expensive, and qualifications are often out of reach. Unemployment is not a reflection of laziness, but of a broken system that leaves many behind.
So we ask: who will stand in the gap?
Who will extend a hand where society has turned a blind eye? Who will make the commitment to feed not just mouths, but hopes? That is the mission we’ve embraced. Our ministry, through its feeding scheme, has become a bridge between despair and dignity—one meal, one moment of kindness at a time.
But we cannot do it alone. That’s why we appeal to you—to those whose hearts are moved by compassion—to help us carry this work forward. Through your donation of goods, resources, or support, you’re not just filling plates. You’re standing in the gap and affirming that every life matters
“Our thinking is that we give and help because we are and have been helped.”
What we need of you is the following:

More Than a Meal…
Each donated item is an ingredient in something far greater than a meal. It’s a gesture that says, “You matter.” Feeding schemes are about nourishment, yes—but they’re also about connection, compassion, and care. And when communities rally together—whether through cans of beans or baking trays—they stir up a recipe for hope.
Needs shift depending on the season, the scale, and the community served. And every contribution, no matter how small, feeds more than stomachs—it feeds souls. Every contribution—no matter how small—helps us build a more resilient community. It nourishes the body, but it also affirms something profound: that compassion is alive, and love still has power.
