Water on our Land:
Bridging the Gap: Bringing Life-Giving Water to Koa Sinag Ministry
At Koa Sinag Ministry, our mission has always been to serve, nourish, and uplift our community. But today, we are reaching out because we face a challenge that hinders our ability to do that work effectively: the struggle for water.
Water is the foundation of everything we do, yet for too long, it has been our greatest daily hurdle. We are launching a campaign to install a permanent borehole on our property, and we need your help to make it a reality.
The Weight We Carry (Literally)
Currently, our access to water is unpredictable and physically exhausting. When our taps are dry, our team must pivot from ministry work to survival mode. Here is what our daily reality looks like:
- The Communal Struggle: We rely on communal water points, but these are frequently non-operational due to maintenance issues or supply cuts.
- Borrowing from Neighbors: When the communal taps fail, we rely on the kindness of our neighbors. While we are blessed by their generosity, it is not a sustainable or fair long-term solution for a growing ministry.
- The Toll on Our Resources: We have to use the ministry’s only bakkie to haul heavy containers back and forth. This puts immense wear and tear on our only vehicle and consumes fuel that should be used for outreach.
- Manual Labor: On days when the bakkie is in use or unavailable, our team has to manually carry 30-liter drums of water. It is back-breaking work that takes hours away from our core mission of serving the people.
Why a Borehole is the Answer
A borehole isn’t just a “convenience”—it is a permanent solution that provides:
- Consistency: No more waiting for communal taps to be fixed.
- Sustainability: We can grow our own food and maintain our facilities without fear of the next water cut.
- Efficiency: Our bakkie can stay on the road for ministry work, and our team can focus on people rather than hauling drums.
“Water is the driving force of all nature.
By securing a source on-site, we are securing the future of Koa Sinag.”
How You Can Help
We are looking to raise funds for the professional drilling, casing, and fitment of a high-capacity borehole system. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one liter closer to independence.
Ways to Give:
- Financial Donations: Help us cover the costs of drilling and equipment.
- In-Kind Support: If you have expertise in plumbing, electrical work, or borehole fitment, your time is a massive gift.
- Spread the Word: Share this post with your friends, family, and church groups.
Join Us in This Mission
By helping us strike water, you aren’t just filling a tank; you are fueling a ministry. You are ensuring that when a child or a neighbor comes to Koa Sinag, we can offer them more than just a helping hand—we can offer them a glass of water and a place that flourishes.
Will you help us turn the tide?
Together, we can bring life-giving water to the heart of our ministry.
