Psalms 23:5-6 AMP

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD.

  “Empty cup syndrome”

Q: Are you the block in the flow of God’s favour?

A: Why we go about in circles and sabotage our own happiness and God’s blessings is such a mystery. It seems that we love to play the victim, while all our bad choices place ourselves and our families outside of God’s blessings.

Free will is such an amazing concept, but if you do not know how to use it, it will be your downfall. On one side of the spectrum, you get selfishness, and on the total opposite, you get servitude. Once you cross over to God’s side of the spectrum, we are all faced with this truth—His will, not ours—the more you relent control and understanding, the closer you get to God. If you hold on and fight God, you lose and perish!

It is very important to understand that God is an amazing Father and always ONLY gives us the best, it is our duty to accept these kindnesses and favours in our lives. We should stop blaming God for our own inability to surrender.

Ask yourself this today:

How have I blocked God from blessing me by not surrendering?

Let’s Pray:

Father, I am sorry! I am sorry that I am holding on to the things of the past, the things of this world. I am still stuck in thinking like the world. I have been wrong for not surrendering my heart, and this has only created chaos in my life.

You now have my life—all of it. I surrender!

In Jesus’ name. Amen!
